Saturday, March 14, was perfect driving weather, and drive the SoCal Region did! From Old Town Calabasas, along the western rim of the San Fernando Valley, through the wilds of Box Canyon and through scenic Simi Valley, our group got to sample the sights and history of areas of Southern California not often thought about. We visited the Leonis Adobe, the Santa Susana Rail Depot, and Strathearn Historical Park. At each stop, docents regaled us with the history and lore of the places and the people who lived and worked there. We were even treated to a spectacular model railroad exhibition! After our travels, our group enjoyed conversation and fellowship over a fine Mexican dinner. Thanks to all who attended!
